Shayne Liukkonen scored a hat trick last Tuesday to lead the Stettler Lightning to a 5-4 overtime win over the Three Hills Thrashers in the Heritage Junior Hockey League. Landon Potter’s four-point night included the overtime winner.

In their final home this season, the Lightning doubled the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 4-2 on Friday night at Stettler Recreation Centre.

The Stettler goals Friday came from Tyson Glazier, Lyle Wooden, Cam Wright and Steve Blacklock. Simon Thieleman made 39 saves.
