Trial date set for Mountie

A Rimbey Mountie will go to trial next fall to face criminal charges he assaulted and threatened a woman near Rimbey and later breached a court order not to communicate with her.
A trial date of Aug. 3 and Oct. 2, 3 and 4 was set by Judge D. Plosz in Rimbey provincial court Feb. 3.
Court documents state Jesse Charles Lambright, 52, is charged with assaulting a woman in April and August of last year.
Lambright is also looking at charges of uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm between October 2010 and September 2011. He also faces a charge of breaching a court order after failing to comply with the condition that he abstain from communicating with the woman.
