A Rimbey Mountie who faces multiple criminal charges, will be back in court next month.

Const. Charles Lambright appeared in Rimbey provincial court Jan. 6 to face two counts of assault, one count of uttering threats and a charge of breaching a court order, said Doris Stapleton, K Division media spokesperson.

Stapeleton said the matter was set over to Feb. 3 at 9:30 a.m. in Rimbey provincial court when a trial date will be set.

The charges stem from five incidents in 2011.

“It’s before the courts, so I can’t comment further,” she said.

Lambright is now on leave.
