Bluffton West 4-H Beef Club news
Our club continues to have a blast as the year progresses. In November the club had its annual seniors’ tea and bingo at the Parkland Manor. The seniors had a terrific time and won great prizes.
At our December meeting we had a potluck supper and played fun games. Our club donated $1,000 to the Rimbey pool. We can’t wait to try out the new pool and go down the new slides next summer. On Dec. 17, some of our members went to the Liberty Hall Christmas potluck and did face painting for the kids. All the children that had their faces painted were happy with our artistic skills.
This year our club decided to sponsor a needy family in the community. We provided them with gifts and food for a Christmas dinner.
The sledding party was at VonGunten’s hill. Everybody had a super time and nobody was injured.
On Dec. 30 and 31 our club had a retreat at the Battle Lake 4-H Centre. We had workshops on public speaking as well as first aid for people and animals. We had great fun snowshoeing and playing games. There was also a hot tub for people to enjoy.
We are looking forward to more fun in the coming year of 2012.
Mark your calendar for our show and sale, May 13 and 14.
