The Blindman Valley 4-H Beef Club started things off by headin’ out to the Wilson Farm to weigh their critters on Oct. 22. We have 15 members who will have show steers, carcass and heifer projects. With the clothes on our backs, we made our way up to Edmonton and experienced Farm Fair. We enjoyed walking around, looking at the different breeds of cattle, watching the Ranch Rodeo, and hitting up some of the 4-H activities that were set up for the day.

On Nov.14 we “battled” over who got to be whom for our club executive. Peter Mueller is our proud president, Montana Miller is the vice-president, Gracie Whitfield is secretary, Thomas “Tommy” Mueller is our moneyman (Treasurer), and the club reporter is Kevin Wilson!

Closer to Christmas our club went to the Ruuds’ to enjoy an evening packed with tobogganing and snowmobiling only to go inside and stuff ourselves with our mothers’ great cooking, then ripping open the presents Secret Santa’s so neatly wrapped.

Several members helped out at the Blessed Food Pantry in Bentley. We sorted all the donated food into hampers that had been collected from the Bentley area. We are now looking forward to all the events in the up coming year of 2012.
