We had two great months in December and January.
On the Dec. 3 there was a district PowerPoint presentation and Koby Abby and Logan went to it. They said it was informative.
On Dec. 18 our club went Christmas carolling and had our Christmas social. Thanks to Leah who organized them. At the Christmas social we went snowshoeing and had a supper. After that we went carolling in Winfield and handed out cookies. We raised a lot of money in our fundraiser and Logan sold the most birdseed and wreaths. We will be doing this fundraiser again next year.
At the Jan. 8 meeting we also had a multi species judging workshop and we got to judge chips. It was a fun experience. We went luging on Jan. 14 at the Camrose Ski Hill. At the luging centre we started slow but then eventually got going faster. It was fun and everyone learned lots.
Jan. 27 there will be a public speaking judges workshop at Falun Hall for adults who are interested in judging at speeches. At the multi species judging workshop on Feb. 4 you will learn to judge and there will be prizes. On Feb. 17 we our having our winter activity and we will be going skiing or snowboarding at Rabbit Hill. Families of the 4-H club are allowed to go. Our Communications Day is going to be held at Winfield Hall at 12:30 p.m. It will be interesting to see what people come up with. A reminder for people to bring their Ivomec boxes to Winfield Feed and Farm Supply.
Our next meeting is Feb. 5 at Poplar Valley Church and the theme will be Valentine’s.
