Woman airlifted to Calgary after crash near Innisfail

STARS air ambulance has transported a 39-year-old woman to Foothills Hospital in Calgary with multiple injuries after an accident east of Innisfail Tuesday morning.

The helicopter was called in at around 9:30 a.m. after a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Hwys 590 and 816, said STARS spokesperson Leanne Rekiel.

Rekiel said she did not have any information on the condition of anyone else involved in the crash.

Innisfail RCMP are currently on the scene investigating.
