Police are continuing to search for a missing 54-year-old woman, whose van was found close to Garrington Bridge, near Bowden.
On Tuesday, Innisfail RCMP did an aerial search of the area for Caroline McCoy, of no fixed address. Police tracking dogs were also used after two tips were received from the public that a woman matching McCoy’s description was spotted north of Red Lodge Provincial Park.
Police do not know McCoy’s medical condition. But witnesses described her as disoriented.
McCoy was last heard from on Saturday. Her vehicle was discovered with its doors left open and unlocked, and her dog was nearby.
Police do not suspect foul play. But they are asking anyone who has seen a female matching her description to call 911, or Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3341.
McCoy is a native female who is 1.6 metres (five feet four inches) tall, with blue eyes and spiky red hair. She was possibly wearing a mid-blue-coloured jacket.
