An East-Central Alberta man accused of sexually abusing his sister has been ordered to stand trial.
A preliminary hearing was held on Tuesday in Coronation provincial court for the 20-year-old man, who cannot be identified because of a publication ban.
He faces 20 charges that include one count of sexual assault with a weapon, six counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual contact, four counts of unlawful confinement, four counts of sexual exploitation, one count of incest and one count of threats to cause death or injury.
A trial date has not yet been set.
Earlier this month, the man pleaded guilty in Coronation youth court to charges of sexual assault in relation to attacks that took place while he was a minor.
Charges of sexual interference and unlawful confinement for the same time were withdrawn.
Sentencing on the youth charges will take place on Oct. 2.
