Starting his tour of the country on Sept. 11, in St. Johns, N.L. Terry Burns of Yellowknife set out to bowl in 100 bowling centres in 100 days. Day 83 brought him to Red Deer where he played three frames at Heritage lanes and met local bowlers, including Sahara Streit. Playing a game invented by Canadian Tommy Ryan in 1909, bowlers across the country are celebrating the centennial anniversary of the sport. Burns will continue his trip, planning to play his 100th game in Duncan, B.C. on Dec. 19.
