Bear killed hunter: victim identified

The hunter found dead near Sundre died as a result of an attack by a bear, the Calgary Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed.
RCMP have identified the hunter found Tuesday as Robert Wagner, 48, of Didsbury.
He was reported missing on Tuesday when he did not return from a solo hunting trip. His body was discovered southwest of Sundre.
Alberta Fish and Wildlife is trying to identify the specific animal involved in the attack.
The family of the dead man and the RCMP wish to thank all of the many individuals, search and rescue units and other agencies who provided their time and efforts in locating Wagner.
