Woman injured in cement truck crash

Rimbey Fire Department emergency service workers attend to the woman driver of a concrete truck that went down a steep six-metre embankment about 37 km north of Rimbey on Thursday about 11 a.m..

The driver in her 30s was on Range Road 20, south of Hwy 611 when the fully loaded truck left the road. Rimbey Fire Chief John Weisberger said it’s believed the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The truck was estimated to be a writeoff, Weisberger said.
