Canadian National Biathlon team member and 2006 Olympic athlete Zina Kocher demonstrates how she shoots her rifle during a visit to Mountview Elementary School in Red Deer on Thursday.

Kocher spent the day at the school giving a presentation to all the students in grades 1-5 on what it takes to become an Olympic athlete.

Through an inspirational message, video presentation, mock biathlon race and a question and answer session with the children, Kocher hopes to show school age children what it takes to become world class Olympic athlete and inspire them to follow their dreams.

Kocher, who is from Red Deer, attended Mountview Elementary School as a child.
