Then, on June 2, take part in the unveiling of an intergenerational art project entitled Belonging which will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the seniors’ centre. Canadian Mental Health Association Central Alberta Region offers three public mental health presentations in June. On June 2, the CMHA presents Listening to Families Talk About Mental Illness at A Gathering Place (formerly The Club Café). On June 11, learn about Talking to Children and Teens About Mental Illness at the Snell Auditorium at Red Deer Public Library Downtown Branch. The third presentation will be Mental Illness and Intimate Relationships on June 30 at the Snell Auditorium at Red Deer Public Library Downtown Branch. Each of the presentations are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the various locations. Victoria Park Retirementcelebrates Seniors Week with two fee events. On June 2 find out about services for seniors at the Seniors’ Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and door prizes draws will be held. On June 4, a free barbecue lunch will be held at Great Chief Park from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The barbecue menu includes burgers, hot dogs, salad, drinks, and all the fixings.
