After being on the loose for a month, Trax is back at home and for Kirya Payne, 10, it was not a moment too soon. Trax went missing while on a camping trip west of Caroline on May 23 and found his own way back to his home in Penhold one month later. Everyone in the house started crying when they saw him, said Kirya’s mother Kathryn, who does not know how he found his way back to Penhold. When the neighbors said they spotted the large family pet roaming around the schoolyard in Penhold, Payne jumped in the car and was very surprised to find that it actually was Trax.
