Sarah says learn to juggle.

I am attempting to learn how to juggle. I have been for about a year and continue to fail miserably.

Last summer, while working behind my till at a electronics shop, and bored out of my skull, due to the fact that I was alone up front, there were only three or four customers in the store and I had made my fill of origami out of my till tape, a man came up and apparently noticed my boredom. He grabbed three of the stress balls we had beside my till (in hopes people will believe that a small rubber ball shall solve their life problems and buy one) and started juggling. He then tried to teach me how to juggle. I never quite got it. I did get in trouble for throwing balls around my till, and once I left my job at the end of the summer, I gave up my attempt to juggle.

I later came across my list of Things I Want to do Before I Die, the kind of list you wrote when you are a little kid and the first thing on the list is to become a rock star and you believed your life would be complete if you only finished these 10 items. Juggling happened to be on it.

Now inspired, I decided to create a new list of all the things I wanted to see, do or experience and I was surprised how much easier it was this time around. When I was younger, it was difficult to create a list of 10 things; now I fairly easily created a new list of a hundred things I wanted to do. Some were born from inside jokes whereas others have been ambitions of mine for years.

A friend found the list one day and together we created a shorter version that included things we had sufficient resources to do now.

We have now gone horseback riding, trick or treating (although on that occasion I had the epiphany that I shall be turning 20 next year and while I thought I would never be too old for free candy and dressing up like an idiot . . . perhaps I was wrong) and most recently we went on a train trip through the mountains.

So I have taken up juggling, well at least trying, again in hopes of putting a larger dent in my list. Any tips on juggling would be welcome!

These are a few of my favourites off my list (the majority of those missing are where I want to travel):

18. Get arrested for breaking a goofy law.

20. Go caroling.

24. Learn sign language.

28. Learn all the jokes for Rocky Horror Picture Show.

36. Rappel down a cliff.

38. Finish the Periodic Table of Life and Love.

40. Throw plates like Frisbees at a wall.

50. Learn to bar tend and do tricks with the glasses.

52. See the ruins of Pompeii.

53. Crowd surf at a concert.

54. Jump into a fountain in Italy.

55. Learn how to play violin.

57. Walk on water (with boat shoes).

59. Ride on a dog sled.

61. Go to Loch Ness in Scotland.

64. Experience zero gravity.

68. Learn how to skate and roller blade.

72. Fly first class as a free upgrade.

75. Become a log rider.

82. Break into Area 51.

97. Have enough money to do numbers 1 through 96.

What does your list include?

Cheers.
