Charges laid after Edmonton pawn shop owner severely beaten

EDMONTON — A man has been charged with aggravated assault after an attack on a 75-year-old Edmonton pawn shop owner.

Officers were called to the shop March 1 by customers who found the owner badly beaten on the floor behind the counter.

Kenneth Angus Campbell, a 56-year-old resident of St. Albert, has also been charged with robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon.
