Carla Schneider and her St. Bernard service dog Angus reacquaint themselves with Eve, a German shepherd guide dog belonging to her friend John Dignard of Wetaskiwin outside The Gathering Place Monday. Schneider, a Bentley woman who trained Angus to help her with mobility issues, took in Dignard’s presentation about how Eve, who he trained himself, is one of many dogs who over 35 years have helped him cope with memory issues caused by a childhood brain injury. The presentation was sponsored by the Central Alberta Brain Injury Society.
