Author/consultant has new book on boosting career
A psychologist, author, consultant and teacher with strong connections to Central Alberta has a new book to add to her resume.
Donna Dunning recently published 10 Career Essentials, Excel at Your Career by Using Your Personality Type. It’s the latest of more than a dozen publications she’s written, with the others including What’s Your Type of Career?, Introduction to Type and Communication, TLC at Work, and Introduction to Type and Learning.
Dunning, who specializes in career development, learning and work performance, spent nearly two decades working out of her Poplar Ridge home west of Red Deer. She and her husband Paul Dunning, whom she met while both were teaching at Red Deer College, operated Dunning Unlimited Inc.
The couple provided consulting services to local businesses, and in 1998 received a Red Deer Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year award. The Dunnings relocated to Victoria in 2004.
In 10 Career Essentials, Excel at Your Career by Using Your Personality Type, Dunning describes how people can assess their personality type and use it to advance and succeed in their career.
It provides strategies, self-assessment tools and tips for learning.
The book has attracted glowing testimonials from the likes of Richard Bolles, author of What Color Is Your Parachute; and John Whitmore, author of Coaching for Performance.
It’s published by Nicholas Breasley Publishing.
